Hope in Design

This poem begins with the difficulty we all experience with life and ends with the majesty and sacred potential we were all given at the moment of our birth.

by Pam Verner

I have seen life ebb
Away inch by inch, like
Tide going out to sea, but
Never to return.
I have seen unrelenting
Mornings stretch into acres
And acres of empty afternoons
Only to be followed by miles
And miles of starless nights.
And I have seen the moment of birth
When life lies before the babe like yards
And yards of white satin waiting for
Design.
